10 Signs You Hate Your Job

I know that not everybody hates their job but everybody has had at least one job that they’ve hated. Here’s 10 signs you hate your job. Whether you currently hate your job or not, some of these should ring true for everyone.

1. You live for the weekend

Sure we all love the weekend, this is the time for us to do as we please with our time. So why wouldn’t we love it? With that being said we’ve all known someone who had an unhealthy relationship with the weekend.

They’re unproductive at work all week because they’re too busy planning and anticipating the weekend. Friday afternoon comes and they’re totally checked out and they have a beer in hand by 5:30.

These people usually hate their jobs so much that eventually they quit or get fired.

2. You take sick days when you’re not sick

I know we all take sick days here and there and sometimes we’re not so much sick as we are tired or stressed. What I’m talking about here are those people who take way more sick days than the average employee.

The type of person who rarely makes a full week of work. This usually means that it’s so painful to show up to work that some days you just can’t do it. If this is you, you hate your job.

3. You think your friends’ jobs sound great

If you’re always jealous of your friends jobs and wish you could get a job like theirs, you probably hate your job.

The grass isn’t always greener on the other side and the truth is that your friend probably hates his/her job too. The reason we get paid to go to work is because it’s not easy. In fact it’s so bad that they have to pay people to do it.

 4. You can’t see yourself there in 10 years

Think about where you’ll be in 5 or 10 years. You might have no clue where you’ll be but at least try to think about where you really hope your life is in 10 years. Be optimistic but try to keep it realistic.

Now if the thought of being at the same job in 10 years makes you cringe, if you immediately thought of a different job or just anything other than your current job, then you probably hate your job.

5. You watch the clock

Now I think everybody watches the clock to a certain degree but people who really hate their jobs really watch the clock. This can actually consume some people’s whole day and really kill their productivity.

I know some people play little games where they try not to look at the clock because they feel like the more they look at it the slower time moves. This might ring true to some of you. So if you’re a cronic clock watcher, you might hate your job.

6.You’re GRUMPY at work

This one might seem a little obvious but not everybody realizes they’re grumpy at work. Sometimes people are so grumpy at work that other people avoid them and nobody is brave enough to tell them how grumpy they are.

Most of the time grumpy people are really good at blaming their mood on other things. They say they aren’t in a good mood because the printer jammed again or they didn’t get that raise they wanted.

These excuses could may well be valid but it’s far more likely that they just hates their job.

7. You don’t care about your performance

Maybe when you first started working there you were really gung ho about reaching your goals or even shattering your goals. Now that you’ve been there a while you don’t even pay attention to them because you couldn’t care less.

You know you’ll collect a pay cheque regardless so you don’t think it’s worth putting in the extra effort. This could be a really obvious sign that you hate your job.

8. You dream of quitting in a dramatic fashion

So we’ve all seen it in the movies. An employee quits their job in a very dramatic way. Causing a huge scene and telling off his/her boss.

If you’ve dreamt of doing this on multiple ocassions, maybe even thought about what you would say if you had that chance, then you probably hate your job.

9. You hope your boss quits or gets fired

So lots of people don’t like their boss. Many people actually have wished their boss would quit or get fired and I don’t think this means that you necessarily hate your job.

But if you obsess and fantasize over this on a regular basis then there’s a good chance you hate your job. It’s one thing to think about it every now and then, but when it gets to the point where you’re coming up with ideas of how it could come to fruition, you hate your job.

10. You leave as soon as you can

Depositphotos_21993785_s-2015So we all enjoy that time of the day where we get to go home but some people really take it to the next level when it comes to quitting time.

Some people start packing their things 30 minutes before their shift is over. Some people refuse to do any work in that final hour of the workday.

Some people are sculking around the workplace trying to find people to join them for an after work beer.

These people most likely hate their jobs. People who don’t hate their jobs are actually working until the end of the day or even working late.

New Career Ahead Arrow

So if any or all of these ring true to you, you should really ask yourself if you hate your job or not. If you do hate your job then you should consider making a change.

There are some really good options for making a living online and I highly recommend you give it some thought. I’ve been stuck in many jobs that I hated over the years and it’s not a good way to go through life.

The internet is such a wonderful place to make a living because of the freedom it gives you. When you make your living from the internet you have the ability to work from wherever there’s an internet connection. You can just grab your laptop and go anywhere you want.

You can make your own hours and take holidays anytime you want. of course this does require self discipline in order to actually stay productive and there is real work involved.

I’m not talking about completing online surveys for pennies at a time or selling your belongings on Ebay. What I’m talking about is affiliate marketing.

With affiliate marketing you can sell/promote other people’s products and collect a commission for every sale. This is a real job and anyone with a good attitude can do it. I learned how to do affiliate marketing from a training program called Wealthy Affiliate.

Wealthy Affiliate is an online training program designed to teach people exactly how to make a living from affiliate marketing. They show you exactly how to set up your own website and promote whatever products you want on your website. It’s actually free to join as well so you can try it out to see if you like it without any risk.

Here’s a quick video of some of the training offered at Wealthy Affiliate just to give you a little sneak peak.

So as you can see the training there is set up very well for beginners making it really easy to learn at your own pace. If you decide to sign up for the free membership you will get to see all of these lessons below as well.

So it’s an extremely comprehensive training program designed to help you succeed. I took the training and ended up starting a fitness website where I promote amazon products and earn affiliate commissions. This turned into a full time income for me and I had no previous experience.

The sweet thing is that you don’t have to quit your job to give this a try. You can do this in your spare time until you start making enough money to eventually quit your job.

Even if you have no experience the training will give you all the tools you need to get started. So if you’re sick of your job and you really hate it, make a change. It’s a simple decision that could make you a much happier person.

If you have any questions or comments please feel free to leave them in the box below and I’ll be sure to respond quickly.

Cheers,

Robert
